'A unique experience.'But don't just take our word for it. Here are some reviews from TripAdvisor to show why we are the place to visit in Maleme.
5 Stars We went here based on the reviews on here, and everything we read was absolutely right. The owner is a complete character! but harmless, the food is beautifully presented and everything we had done to perfection. Its a lovely pleasant restaurant to enjoy good food in nice surroundings, you will not be disappointed. 5 Stars We have been returning to the Black Lantern in Maleme for many years now and have to say that the welcome from everyone there is never a let down. They have a huge menu from Thai curries to Greek traditional, but my favourite has to be their enormous Sunday lunches. I still have not managed to clean my plate completely yet, but at least the local cats get the little bits of beef I sneak out under my napkin. Just don't tell Graham :-) It can get a little busy on a Sunday afternoon so we always make sure we reserve a table to avoid disappointment. The best restaurant in Maleme by far. 4 Stars Went on recommendation, the Taverna is run by an Englishman who has been there for 11 years. Whilst the place looks like a Greek Taverna the food is very much English oriented. Cannot fault the standard of food as it was excellent, I had the lamb chops and my wife had the 'special'. 5 stars Eaten again at Graham's wonderful place, seven years since first coming in and being pleasantly surprised by the sheer quality of the food on offer. Tonight didn't disappoint, was busy when we arrived ( usually is these days) but a short wait in the bar for an outside table was well worth it. Two Cretan musicians serenaded us throughout our meal and the service, in line with the food, was superb, as we have always found. May not be to everyone's taste but for us it's one of the best places to eat we have found home or abroad. Be pleasant and good mannered and it will be reciprocated, this is not the place for those who are ignorant and ill mannered. Well done to Graham and his dedicated team for making Maleme a place we just can't stop coming back to. Dave & Paula, Bolton, Lancs, UK |
