The hardest quiz night I have done so far... but only because I wasn't allowed to react to the France v Wales rugby match on the TV. I still can't mention the score as they might not have watched their recording yet! I hope you enjoy the match.
Thank you again everyone for making the quiz night a success at The Black Lantern. We had ten teams vying for top spot but the '4 Seasons' came out on top again just beating the 'Ian Yates Fan Club' into second place. In third came the 'Sprung Chickens' that extra 1/2 point from the West Ham/Chelsea answer came in useful and 'Anonimouse' came in 4th with a novel way of answering every Quentin Tantino film question with Reservoir Dogs. It at least meant they had two questions right!
5th place went to Bonnie & Clyde/Norf n Souf, 6th to 'The Darma Devils', 7th 'The Wallabies (or whichever rugby team they use as a team on the night) and the bottom three were 'The Challengers', 'Fluffy Ducks' and 'Team Michalis' in that order. Michalis from 'The Daily News' walked away with the last place Pirate Prize, the second week in a row for his team.
We raised €170 on the night to bring us tantalisingly close to the €10,000 GRAND TOTAL since we started the quiz nights in October 2012. We are just €107 away from that incredible amount raised by you... THANK YOU.
The next quiz is on Saturday 14th March at around 8pm... We hope to see you there.
